Single floored Provencal property with covered car park, pool at the foot of the giant "Mont Ventoux" mountain. The property is located between two picturesque villages with several amenities such as a hotel and restaurants. Nearby Bédoin with its weekly market, terraces and shops is situated ...
.....in the heart of beautiful "Comtat Venaissin", a region between Lubéron and Dentelles de Montmirail and with the unique landscapes that make this part of Provence legendary on a global scale. In the vicinity of Bédoin are numerous other picturesque and lively towns, such as l'Isle sur la Sorgue, Carpentras, Vénasque and Beaumes de Venise. Historic Avignon ( TGV train station ) is just at an half an hour's drive away. The international airport of Marseille is about an hour’s drive away. This property finds its origins in the year 1963 which explains the fact that it has a certain “caractère”. It was built in a local and traditional style with plastered facades and wooden shutters.
In 2002, the “espace-piscine” was added.
The roof has been re-done in 2007 and the last years several improvements were made. For example, the house is now equipped with a modern and well-equipped shower room in nowadays colours and a gas-fired heating system.
The property offers a build space of about 200 m² which include the habitable space of about 130 m². It is composed of, among others, a living room with chimney and open kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, a utility room, 2 toilets several carports (almost fully closed), a pool house, terraces and several seats and places to relax.
To note and to point out is the fact that the actual owner already received a permission to extend the existing habitable space by transforming the carports into habitable space as guesthouse. This is real added value and underscores the interest of this Provençal investment.
The house is discrete, functional and simple in its design and is therefore very “easy going" for maintenance. Both indoors and outdoors one immediately experiences a Mediterranean holiday feeling.
The beautiful, and mainly fenced, garden (3.108 sqm ) with a good setting in regard of the “Mistral” is a real trump and seems to melt together with the surrounding nature where the Mont Ventoux has a leading place. It offers several "productive" trees such as almond trees, fig trees and olive trees. There are also ornamental plants and flower beds (with i.a. irises, lavender, oleander, roses) but also trees as mulberry, cypresses, albizzia and an old lush oak. Since the vegetation is mature, it remains rather friendly in terms of maintenance.
The position of the villa on the plot is ideal. The main facade is West oriented. Close to the house a several seats and relaxing points where one can fully enjoy, in privacy, the climate and the views. The leafy trees provide plenty of shade in the summer, while leaving enough light and space for sun worshippers. So you can choose between sun or shade! From the house one has access to several hiking and biking tracks that run through and around the vineyards and offer magnificent and stunning views.
The plot is accessed by a metal gate with remote control and a gravel driveway. The plot offers enough parking places.
Only steps away from the house, on the Mont Ventoux side, lies the pool (4m x 9 m x 1,5 ), with "Roman stairs ", lights, a winter cover and a summer cover. The (salt) filter system is easily accessible. Th pool is traditionally built in concrete and finished with a liner. Around the pool there is an outdoor shower and paved terraces with views on the garden and the Ventoux mountain.
